Feel the Burn

Once a verdant region teeming with flora and fauna, repeated summonings saw it bled of aether and reduced to a barren desert. But even in an unforgiving environment such as this, life has endured. In a fierce struggle for what little aether yet remains, the Burn's beastly denizens have grown uncommonly savage, and you and your comrades must contend with their dangerous ilk as you scour its white sands.

Bosses

Hedetet

Take note of the four white crystals protruding from the ground, as they act as shields against some of the boss's attacks. However, be aware that the crystals will explode when hit by one of Hedetet's attacks. New crystals will descend from the ceiling, so be prepared to move out of their way. Hedetet possesses several attack patterns. The first is "Crystal Needle," which is a powerful attack focused on the tank. Another attack, "Hailfire," involves Hedetet targeting a random player with a crosshair, followed by a sand blast that damages the first thing it hits. Standing behind a crystal will block all damage. It is important to note that subsequent casts of "Hailfire" begin with Hedetet jumping to a different location in the arena before targeting a player. The next attack, "Shardfall," encompasses the entire arena and requires players to seek protection behind a crystal. Hedetet will then immediately follow up with a move called "Dissonance," which also affects the whole arena. The safe zone for this attack is inside Hedetet's hitbox, but be cautious as it inflicts high damage and applies the debuff "Vulnerability Up" if it connects. Finally, there is "Shardstrike," where an AoE marker is placed on all players. It is crucial to spread out to avoid overlapping damage, but also position yourself to avoid hitting any of the crystals.

Defective Drone

The Defective Drone's arena is smaller than most and has constantly burning left and right sides that inflict Burns on players standing in them. The arena is also separated into different lanes. There are several abilities to be aware of during the fight: Aetherochemical Flame, which deals high party-wide damage and needs to be mitigated and healed through; Aetherochemical Coil, a tankbuster that hits an arc in front of the boss; the Defective Drone launching a glob of sludge at a random player, inflicting Leaden while inside it; Full Throttle, where the Defective Drone moves out of the arena and spawns five smaller Mining Drones on one side, and players must determine which one is sparking and move into its lane to avoid getting run over and pushed into the fire; Rock Busters, which are summoned on the sides of the arena and launch in a straight line after a short time, so players should avoid standing in front of them; and eventually, the boss summons a Repurposed Dreadnaught with standard Dreadnaught attacks.

Mist Dragon

The Mist Dragon in this battle has several dangerous attacks that players need to be aware of. One attack called "Rime Wreath" inflicts high party-wide damage and should be mitigated and healed through. The Mist Dragon will spam this attack when it isn't casting anything else. Another attack, "Frost Breath," consists of two distinct attacks cast one after another. The first attack targets a non-tank player and damages everything in a line from the boss to the targeted player. The second attack marks the tank and hits a wide arc in the tank's direction. This attack also creates ice puddles in the areas it hits, and both the attack and the puddles inflict a dispellable Frostbite debuff. The puddles continue to inflict Frostbite as long as players stand in them. "Fog Plume" is a star area of effect attack that targets a random player. After the initial attack hits, four arena-wide line area of effect attacks originating from the first attack's landing point will appear. Later in the fight, the Mist Dragon will target two players with this ability. In addition to taking damage, those hit by the attack will be trapped in blocks of ice called Mist, which prevents movement. However, other players can attack the Mist to free those trapped inside. The Mist Dragon has an ability called "Vaporize" where it turns into mist in the center of the arena. Three Draconic Regard adds will spawn and tether to the Mist Dragon. Attempting to attack the Mist Dragon in this form will cause it to counterattack and freeze the offending player in Mist. Another attack, "Cold Fog," is an area of effect attack centered on the Mist Dragon's misty form that gradually expands. Slaying all of the Draconic Regard adds will prevent the attack's area from expanding further. The Mist Dragon also has an attack called "Deep Fog" where the arena becomes shrouded in thick fog, giving an indefinite Dropsy debuff. The Mist Dragon will then spray a wide line through the center of the arena with ice, dealing high damage and freezing anyone caught in it. The boss will swoop twice before the fog disperses. To dodge this attack, players should run around the edge of the arena until they see the orange area of effect indicators, which appear when they are close enough. Finally, "Touchdown" is an attack where a proximity marker appears on the ground to indicate where the Mist Dragon is about to slam down. Players should free anyone still trapped in Mist and quickly move to the opposite side of the arena.
